We will regularly have performances.  We hope to accommodate schedules by letting you know as much in advance as possible so all students will be able to participate.  We will also participate in competitions for those who choose to be involved.  We will have 2 recitals during the year- one in December and one in June.  There will be a cost for participating students. This cost for the 2009-10' season will be $30.00 for each recital.

Pictures

We will have pictures taken of students in the Spring for those who choose to purchase them.  More information will come on the date and time.

Class Dress Code

All students need to make sure they are in proper dance attire.  This may include a leotard, jazz pants, active wear pants, tights, etc.  Clothing needs to be appropriate for dance and flexible.  Students need to make sure they are also in the proper shoes.  Hair needs to also be pulled back from the face. See class descriptions for specific class requirements.

Attendance, Etiquette, and Behavior

It is important to have your child to lessons on time and as close to 100% attendance as possible.  Please call if your child is going to be late or absent.  It is important in the learning process that they are there as much as possible in order to not fall behind.  Please also be courteous and let teachers know if you need to leave early.

Cell phones will not be allowed while class is in progress.  If students are expecting an IMPORTANT call, they can leave their phone in the office, and someone will let them know of their call.

Students will be expected to follow the directions of the teacher.  If behavior becomes unmanageable, parents may be asked to take their child home.  They will be given 2 chances before other measures may be taken.

Costumes

Classes will be purchasing new costumes at the end of September.  We want to keep your expense to a minimum, so we strive to find affordable, easily alterable costumes for all students.  Costume proces range from $65.00 - $90.00 a year based on the class. A $50.00 deposit is required prior to ordering the costume.  Any costume ordered after our last order is placed will have to pay additional shipping in order to have it in time.
