Class sizes will be capped so enroll early. Classes will be cancelled if low enrollment. See below for Class Descriptions.

Prices

All 45 min classes are $35.00/month

All 1 hour classes are $40.00/month

All 1 1/2 hour classes are $50.00

Registration fee $25.00 per person / $40.00 per family

$10.00 discount on one class when adding an additional class or an additional sibling

Referrals receive $15.00 studio credit to tuition, shoes, costumes, etc.

Creative Movement

This Class is for 3-4 year olds to begin to grasp the concepts of the fundamentals of ballet, jazz, & tumbling.  They will learn basic dance positions and skills through this 45 min class.  Loetard, tights, and black ballet shoes are required attire for class. Cost is $35.00 monthly

Mommy and Me

This is a class for 2-3 year olds to work together with Mom or Dad through games and activities to learn basic movement skills and how to follow direction.  An adult is required to participate during the entire 45 minutes of each class period.    Comfortable clothes are required by both participants.  Cost is $35.00 monthly

Jazz

These classes are designed to strengthen jazz technique; they will focus on basic jazz positions, turns, jumps, & leaps. Students will participate in center and across the floor work as well as proper stretching techniques to enhance strength & flexibility.  Place child according to age if they are advanced they will be moved to the appropriate level.  Dance top, black dance shorts, tights, and black Jazz shoes are the required attire. Jazz also includes contemporary classes. These classes use a variation of Jazz technique and are available for more mature dancers. ***All age ranges are approximate and dancers may be moved up or down a level based on ability.

Tap Combo Classes

Tap techniques will be taught along with techniques of combined class.  Class time will be split between the two types of dance.      

Ballet /Tap - Tuesday 4:30 - 5:30 pm (ages 4-6) $40.00 monthly    

Ballet /Tap - Tuesday 7:30 - 8:30 pm (ages 7+ ) $40.00 monthly   

Ballet

During these classes, students will learn basic ballet fundamentals, including body alignment, vocabulary, and positions of the arms and feet.  Place child according to age if they are advanced they will be moved to the appropriate level.  Leotard (Black for ballet 3, 4, & 5)), pink tights and pink ballet shoes are required.  Hair pulled back in ponytail (bun suggested and required for ballet 3, 4, & 5).  Ballet 3 and 4 will be working toward Pointe. **Ballet 4 & 5 must be placed by instructor.

Hip Hop

This class is a fun energetic class that teaches basic hip hop skills and works to strengthen the body for more advanced hip-hip moves.   Stalls and tricks will be taught in class.   All dances will be modest & age appropriate. Music will be free of questionable lyrics.  Place child according to age if they are advanced they will be moved to the appropriate level.  Comfortable clothes should be worn no jeans, or skirts.  White tennis shoes with white soles are required.  ** Hip Hop teams are by audition only    

Beg Hip Hop (ages 5-8) Tuesday 5:00 - 6:00 pm   $40.00 monthly    

Int Hip Hop (ages 9-11) Tuesday 6:00 - 7:00 pm   $40.00 monthly    

Adv Hip Hop (ages 12+) Tuesday 7:00 - 8:30pm  $50.00 monthly   

Advance Hip Hop Team **(ages 12+) Wednesday 7:00 – 8:30 pm    $50.00 monthly    

Cheer

In this class students will learn cheer fundamentals, correct arm positioning, jumps, kicks, and basic tumbling skills.  They will also learn cheers, chants and some stunts.  Comfortable clothes should be worn no jeans, or skirts.  White tennis shoes with white soles are required.      

Beg Cheer Thursday 6:30 - 7:30 pm    $40.00 monthly    

Intermeditate Cheer  Thursday 5:30 - 6:30 pm    $40.00 monthly            

Senior Cheer   Thursday 6:30 - 7:30 pm    $40.00 monthly                                                        

Break Dance

In this class students will learn basic to advance Break Dance, Hip Hop Street style dance. Comfortable clothes should be worn no jeans, or skirts.  White tennis shoes with white soles are required.

Tumbling

In this class students will learn power, strength, balance, agility, and grace. They will learn basic tumbling skills such as Cartwheels, Round-offs, Back Handsprings, and more. Comfortable clothes should be worn no jeans, or skirts.  White tennis shoes with white soles are required. ** Call for placement information.

Dance Company

Here at DANCE EXPLOSION, we have several different dance companies. Dancers are placed according to their age and ability. Dance company does require an audition (placement period) prior to being placed on a company. Dance Company does require a 12 month commitment, variety of required classes, and additional costume and competition expenses.  Interested dancers should contact the studio for additional information.
